ROBUSTOO at Madrid es Ciencia 2026

The Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas Margarita Salas (CSIC-CIB) participated in the 2026 edition of Madrid is Science, the Community of Madrid’s science outreach fair, which attracted approximately 25,000 visitors from schools, educational institutions, and the general public.

At their stand, researchers engaged students through interactive demonstrations, showcasing how fungal enzymes can contribute to making industrial processes more sustainable, in line with the solutions developed within the ROBUSTOO project.

Beyond the demonstrations, the event provided a valuable opportunity to promote interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), encouraging critical thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset among younger generations.

The fair also served as a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences, reinforcing the importance of connecting scientific research with society and inspiring future innovators.
